Guidelines on Candle Safety from the Fire Service

I thought that as Christmas approaches, when real candlelight adds to the festive atmosphere it would do no harm to remind people of some basic candle safety guidelines. These are taken from guidelines from the Fire Service (www.fireservice.co.uk) - pretty similar to the Government guidelines which we already have in on our web site, but with extras like keeping them away from curtains. I personally would add:


* make sure that the candle or candleholders are not in a draught
